Transport from Barcelona Airport:

Taxi

The taxi rank is located at the exit of the airport (ground floor at both terminals T1 and T2). The distance is 72 km and the cost is 114 euros approx. one way. There may be a supplement for luggage, holidays and night services.

Train

At Barcelona airport there is a train station located at Terminal 2.
If your flight arrives at Terminal 1, you will not be able to walk to the train station as it is 4 km away. You must take the free shuttle bus that connects Terminal 1 with Terminal 2. The journey takes about 10 minutes.
There are no direct trains from Barcelona Airport to Calella. You must take the train from airport to Sants Station and then another train to Calella (RENFE Cercanías).

Bus

There is a bus from the Sagalés company, used by our customers that goes from Barcelona Airport to Calella. The company has a stop at both terminals (T1 and T2).

By car

From T1: Head northwest and stay to the right to continue towards B-22. Take exit on the C-31 towards Barcelona / Lleida / Girona. Continue on the B-22 (indications Airport Terminal T2 / C-31 / Barcelona / Tarragona). Take exit on the C-31 towards Barcelona / Lleida / Girona. Take exit 196AB towards Barcelona / Rondas / Port. Keep right at the fork to continue on exit 196B, follow signs for Port / Ronda Litoral B-10 and merge onto B-10. Take exit 27 to join the C-31 towards Badalona / Mataró / Montgat / N-II. Merge onto C-32 and take exit 122 towards Calella / Pineda de Mar / Santa Susanna. Please view the map above for more details.

Good clean hotel

Stayed at this hotel early September had stayed at a Medplaya in Benidorm in March - the location is very good - the hotel is kept very clean - the staff are friendly especially the reception staff and bar staff - nothing was too much trouble - my husband has mobility problems and this hotel is perfect for this as everything on two levels we had a great room overlooking pool - this is a 3 star all inclusive and the food is exactly what you would expect - however the snack bar cooks chips - toasties and burgers to order on the all inclusive which is great - the one downside of this hotel is that the walls are very thin and you could hear people talking in the room next door - however as an all inclusive hotel it is not rowdy which is good and everyone seemed very happy with the hotel - many people return to this hotel and I can understand why - its a good value clean and friendly hotel and is in a very good location for the beach and town - we find the Medplaya group provide excellent value for money and seem to pride their standards on keeping their hotels very clean and training their staff to be friendly and obliging - this is something which is rare now in the hospitality industry well done Medplaya we are now looking to visit another Medplaya hotel early next year - keep up the good service!!!

Hemos repetido varias veces la estancia en el hotel. La relación calidad precio buena. La atención tanto de recepción , comedor y bar excepcional. Todas las cosas que hemos pedido siempre se han preocupado y nos lo han solucionado con interés. La diferencia de actualización del hotel , lo suplen con diferencia por la comodidad y atención del personal. La ubicación es muy buena y las instalaciones de la piscina muy buena sol. Nosotros volveremos este fin de semana.

Encantada con la atención recibida del personal del hotel recepción, restaurante,... Los animadores geniales, salvo la coreografa española que me dijo que el ascensor tenía q cogerlo en la planta baja, en vez del entresuelo, al salir del restaurante para subir a la habitación!!!!, así que bajé andando... Los demás animadores muy simpáticos. La comida muy bien. La habitación bien, pero mejoraría el baño grifos oxidados... Gracias, estuvimos muy bien.

Lhôtel est très bien situé, propre et le personnel très sympa. Nourriture style cantine. Pour les activités, dommage que ce soit toujours en anglais ou espagnol. Dur pour les français ! Si vous ne comprenez pas cest difficile. Majorité de résidents anglais. Enfin les transats sont pris dassaut des 8h30.

All arrivo personale della reception gentile e pronto per alcune richieste extra Camera non proprio pulitissima con bagno con ruggine dietro la porta e residuo di vecchio sapone sulle mattonelle della vasca Cibo discreto ma sempre uguale ! Per tre giorni ho mangiato il solito cibo Personale della cucina poco sorridente e frettolosi per il cambio tavolo Ultra gentile e sorridente Fatima al bar Staff animazione molto bravi e simpatici Così come la reception ultra gentili e preparati

Santa Monica stay July 2018

We have just come back from a 10 day stay at santa monica in calella. The hotel was nice, and gave me a low floor, as i asked for when booking. The staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was not massive, but it never got over crowded, so was not really a problem, but it was very deep. You do have to get up very early though if you want a sunbed. The daytime entertainment was good, lots of activities for both adults and kids, and the entertainment staff were all great, but the evening entertainment wasnt great, and could be improved. The rooms were clean and the wifi and aircon all worked great. But the only issue i had was the restaurant, you had to queue everynight for dinner, the restaurant didnt open untill 7.30pm, but you would have to start queueing just after 7, to get a table, and the queue sometimes would be up the stairs. Apart from that we had a great holiday at Santa Monica.

Hotel staff all friendly and efficient. The entertainment staff were exceptional and made the best of what was available. Food could have been better and hotter below average for three star hotel. Only complaint was football took over the evening entertainment many nights. Understand people want to see football but could have been put on tv in small room rather than the main entertainment room in the evenings as sometimes football went on untill after 10pm. Apart from that had a great time you should be proud of all your staff.
