Gran hotel
Gran hotel para alojarse en la Costa Brava. Muy buena relacion calidad-precio. Los trabajadores del hotel geniales, muy atentos y amables, daba gusto llegar al comedor y que te recibieran con una sonrisa. Sin duda un muy buen hotel para repetir y recomendar.

Ayer finalizó nuestra estancia de una semana y la verdad estamos encantados. La limpieza impecable, el servicio de 10, desde recepción, camareros, el personal del buffet simpátiquisimos y amables desde el que esta en la puerta del buffet un crack pasando por los cocineros y las chicas que arreglan las mesas. Hasta el personal de mantenimiento, que suelen pasar desapercibidos en la mayoría de hoteles, cabe resaltar su sonrisa, amabilidad y disponibilidad. Antes de reservar, leí atentamente los comentarios de la gente y muchos coincidían en que el punto flojo del hotel era la comida, y cual ha sido nuestra sorpresa que nos ha encantado. Muy variado, el sabor genial, nada insulso como algunos decían y los postres ESPECTACULARES! Que haré ahora sin mis profiteroles bañados en la fuente de chocolate, espolvoreados con almendras o sin los helados aderezados con sirope de caramelo salpicado con virutas de chocolate? La verdad, me quedé enganchada a los postres! Yo creo que repetiremos seguro!

Muy bien calidad - precio. Mejorar la limpieza en general y habitaciones algo viejas. El personal muy bien , comida bien y los animadores geniales ... volveremos por David y Triano son unos fenomenos. Gracias

Excellent Hotel!
This hotel was very centrally located, clean, has all facilities needed and staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and attended to daily by housekeeping, the food is a varied excellent choice in the restaurant and overall a very enjoyable stay!

GREAT HOLIDAY
A GREAT HOTEL WITH FRIENDLY STAFF. A BRILLIANT ANIMATION TEAM WHO KEPT PEOPLE OF ALL AGES ENTERTAINED . RESTAURANT AND FOOD GREAT, NUMEROUS CHOICES FOR EVERYONE. CALELLA IS A LOVELY TOWN WITH A BEAUTIFUL BEACH. WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN TO SANTA MONICA.

Our 2nd time
We visited Santa Monica Hotel exactly 1 year ago, and while it was a very nice experience, we didnt necessarily think it was a great holiday, except for one of our daughters who cried all the way home. As she missed it so much, we decided to go back, and this time it was definitely a great experience. The rooms are perfectly adequate, we slept 4. We asked for a sea view, and were given one with a balcony looking straight out to the beach over the pool. The food is good, I would say there is a wide variety, that changes daily through the week. Always plenty of salad and fries, plus casseroles, grilled meats and seafood etc. We stayed for 8 nights, and didnt leave the hotel once, so it really was all inclusive which is excellent value if you take that option at booking. The pool is ok, it never gets too crowded, and there always seems to be enough beds, although the get taken between about 8 and 9am despite all the notices warning against reserving sunbeds! This year, though, we really enjoyed the animationentertainment. From 10-1 and 3-5 the team work their socks off during the day, playing games and running activities for adults and kids. Whats really nice, is that each activity is entered individually, and a lot of it is poolside, so although the kids take part in many things they dont disappear off for the whole morning or day. It still feels like a family holiday even if they are doing other things, and we still get a break. I saw on the reviews last year there was a lot of feedback about the entertainment being poor, and Medplaya really seem to have listened, so well done. The team is bigger this year, and really well run by David. There is also a nice mix of nationalities, such as Daphne from Holland or Algars from the Baltic, so while everyone spoke English, they were also very inclusive of all of their guests. The evening entertainment was very typical, mini disco, quiz, and then a feature either a show by the animators, a professional show, or some sort of interactive night, such as karaoke or Mr and Mrs Ideal, and to be honest we love that. It keeps the kids happy, and we all get a night out together, meeting the needs of many age groups, in a safe and fun environment.
