The taxi rank is located at the exit of the airport. The distance is 38 km and the cost is 51 euros per journey (approx.). There may be a supplement for luggage, holidays or night services.

Bus

The bus stop is located next to the arrivals terminal. The company that offers the service is Sagalés / Barcelona Bus. This service is only operational from April to October. From the bus station to the hotel there are 2.8 km approx.

By Car

Go towards Aiguaviva through the GIV-5331. Take the C-25 until the A-2 or N-II indication. Merge onto the N-II towards Tordera-Barcelona until the fork direction Tossa de Mar / Lloret de Mar. Merge onto the C-35 and take exit nº 94 towards Tossa de Mar / Girona / Llagostera. Take the second exit towards Tossa de Mar onto GI-681. Continue approximately 13 km until you reach Tossa de Mar. Brilliant with children

Read trip advisor reviews before you book. If your not with children then then probably best to select somewhere else. We stayed with out two Grandchildren aged 9 and 6. The negative points are, no air con and well small windows so the rooms are very, very warm. There are two toddler pools but the big pools are far too deep for young children who are weak swimmers, 3.5m is just not necessary. The teenage kids run about in packs they often take over the courts forcing the younger kids off, not intentional just teenagers being teenagers. Avoid rooms adjacent to the football court, the teenagers blast the ball against the railings and the sound echos through the room, the football goes on until well after midnight. The Positve points are that the children had a fantastic time and that more than makes up for the negatives above. The animation team are fantastic with the kids. All staff appear to love working there and are extremely helpful and polite. The Place seems small enough so that you can give the children a lot of freedom. When the restaurant is closed the snack bar is open very basic but food there if you miss breakfast etc Tips, We booked flights to Girona which is far nearer only 30 mins. We booked a car but a private transfer for 4 persons online was about £120 which is very reasonable. Book direct with Medplaya..We saved at least £200 booking direct. We packed two small fans one in each bedroom which did help a litltle. Would we recommend this hotel:- Yes if its a holiday with children, no if travelling as a couple. This is an excellent place for a holiday with children. Would we return:- Yes if taking kids. If no Kids then no way. According to posters on site, the hotel is due a revamp in 2018 with all rooms getting modernised with Air Con installed. Also the pools and playing areas getting radically changed. Once this is complete then many of the negatives will dissapear. But bear in mind that extensive disruption will be needed to achieve this so check before you book that youre not staying on a building site. Enjoy.

Tot inclós i restaurant

Vam trovar que el tot inclós era massa limitat en les begudes. Al restaurant tot i que el menjar era molt bó, ens vam trovar bastant incomodes perque les taules eren molt juntes i feia massa calor, els aires acondicionat no funcionaven bé o eren insuficients per aquell espai.

Calor por las noches en agosto

1.En los iPhone en mapas te deja a 30 minutos de distancia por estar mal situado en el mapa el lugar. 2.Mala situación al lado de la carretera de la llagosta, tienes que abrir por las noches las ventanas por el calor que hace y dan al lado de la carretera por lo que estás oyendo los coches continuamente.Falta poner aire acondicionado para no tener que abrir las ventanas. 3.Por lo demás esta bien precio-calidad.Bueno para familias con hijos pequeños.Es tranquilo.

3rd time at San Eloy. Kids love it! There have been some changes for the good and I was told Medplaya will keep renovating the years to come. The food is ok except for breakfast always the same food. There were not much warm vegetables or cooked patotoes, rice instead of fries and other greasy stuff,

hotel sympathique mais beaucoup trop de bruit la nuit.certaines personnes ne respectent pas les gens. ils font comme ils ne font pas chez eux et c est dommage.mon enfant de 10 ans etait fatigue en se levant et ce n est pas normal quand on est en vacance.les chambres devrait etre climatisees car difficile de dormir fenetres fermees a cause du bruit.

Looking forward to upgraded rooms

Third time we stayed at San Eloi and as we knew what to expect, we couldnt expect more than how it is. The hotel is in need of an upgrade and as this is planned for next year, we are looking forward to how it will be. Staff and animation are top. Friendly, helpfull and always with a smile. If any negative comments to be given, we could say thay the restaurant was a bit of a dissapointment. Every day french fries or pasta it a bit too much. Why not offering more traditional spanish quisine? A little more variotion would be welcome. What happened to free parking? 5 eur a day is a lot for a long term stay. Luckily there is some parking in the surroundings, but even though... And last, what about the rule about maximum 2 drinks per person in the bars? For a family of 5 we need to be with 3 at the bar for all to be served at once? Bit foolish isnt it?

Lovely place but needs some work

We always stay in the medplaya hotels and this was our 1st visit to san eloy. We had such a relaxing holiday. Its a beautiful place the only downside to it is the shop is very badly stocked down to the essentials been unavailable and the grounds of the hotel are very uneven it needs some maintenance.

Great budget holiday

This is our second time at the Medplaya San Eloy hotel, both times we have really enjoyed ourselves. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, the view of the hillside is lovely, there is a mixture of clientele and nationality which does cteate a nice community feel to the place. Our children quickly made friends and felt comfortable there plus because of the layout, we felt they were safe and secure in the complex. If you are looking for a great family holiday but on a tight budget then I would recommend the San Eloy hotel. We did have a few minor issues but for the price you pay, it is to be expected. These issues were that there was no air conditioning in the rooms, not much of a food choice for vegetarians who also dont eat fish and the evening entertainment was generally poor. However, they are planning to renovate the place, ready for summer 2018. This renovation will include better facilities for younger children and some air conditioned rooms. In summary, we have enjoyed our visits to the San Eloy and will probably return. We will be booking one of the air conditioned rooms though. In regards to the vegetarian and none fish food, this is an issue we have experienced in many hotels including 4 star hotels so in no way unique to the San Eloy. Lastly, as adults, we found the evening entertainment poor but funny just not sure it was meant to be funny and the children really enjoyed the entertainment every night both childrens and adults entertainment. You do receive great value for money, I personally question is it worth spending the extra £1,500 - £2,000 for a 3 or 4 star hotel which would offer a few more luxuries. The choice is yours.
