The Three Kings will parade tomorrow in Benidorm
Is that time of the year again when Spanish children welcome with eyes wide open and high expectations to the Three Kings from Middle East, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltazar.
Every year they parade with their fellowship along the streets of most Spanish cities on January 5th, and Benidorm will not be the exception.
We have been informed that this year there will be 8 floats, the 3 local music bands (La Unión Musical, the Societat Musical l’Illa and the Sociedad MusicalLa Nova), a Batukada group and 3 percussion groups.
For those who have not seen it before, it is a very special event with a magical atmosphere, very typically Spanish. You will love it.
Do not miss out!
The parade will begin at 6pm from the Doves Park in Benidorm (Parque de Elche), following this itinerary: Almendros Avenue, Marte street, Venus street, Ruzafa street, Herrerías street, Doctor Flemming square, and finishing at the Plaza de SSMM los Reyes de España (La AigueraPark, where the City Hall is).
Over there, visitors will be able to see the living crib, the Christmas fair or the ice skating rink. But you’d better get there early, as people generally reserve spaces. And take into consideration that if you sit down in one of the plastic chairs provided, you will be expected to pay for it (it normally costs about 5 Euros).
Children in Spainwrite letters to Their Majesty the Three Kings of Middle East asking for presents for being good and behaving themselves during the year. On the night of January 5th, they prepare a pair of shoes, and some cookies and milk for the Three Kings and their camels, as they have travelled a long way to get to their houses and are tired.
On Sunday 6th children inSpain will find the presents that the Three Kings left for them for being good boys and girls.
