Beaches and coves where you can enjoy calm waters, cities with a vibrant nightlife, fishing villages that stretch for kilometres, golf, water activities, and sports for the whole family, and pleasant temperatures all year round… Do you recognize which Spanish region we are referring to? If the Costa Dorada came to your mind, you are correct!

Located in the south of Catalonia, the Costa Dorada offers 216 kilometres for all tastes. Here you will find seaside towns like Altafulla or Torredembarra, perfect for resting and relaxing. Likewise, towns like Salou, Cambrils, or El Vendrell, which cannot be missed during your visit to the area, nor can the town of Hospitalet de l’Infant and its adjacent coastal area, Miami Platja, two very peaceful and beloved tourist destinations.

In addition, among the family plans, there is a visit to the Port Aventura theme park, where fun is guaranteed. On the other hand, if you are looking for a more cultural experience, you should visit Tarragona. Here lie the remains of the Roman city of Tarraco, such as the amphitheatre or the Roman circus, which coexist with the Gothic-style cathedral of the city. As a contrast, you can also visit Reus, the other major city in the province and the birthplace of the architect Antoni Gaudí.

But we are here to talk about the beaches of the Costa Dorada, which are undoubtedly among the most impressive on the Catalan coast. As a curious fact, its picturesque name is not arbitrary and refers to the characteristic colour of its fine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and natural landscapes.
