From Med Playa we do everything in our power to be more and more respectful of the environment. For this reason, we have been integrating the reduction of plastic used in our hotels into our strategy for more than 10 years. From the purchase of products that generate less packaging waste, to the replacement of classic personal hygiene amenities for individual use by wall dispensers, we have been able to greatly reduce our dependence on plastic. At the same time, we have well-established energy efficiency programmes in hotels that help us to be more environmentally friendly.

Thanks to the measures taken, we have achieved the maximum distinction in sustainability and waste management in 11 hotels. This accreditation is part of a Travelife initiative, which assesses the environmental impact of tourism businesses and issues certificates accrediting compliance with measures to reduce the ecological footprint.

This summer we have set out to continue working along these lines and to implement new measures to continue reducing the plastics in all our establishments. Through the disposal of disposable plastics and plastic straws, together with the support of our guests, we will once again make progress towards sustainability.
