Back after 3 years

Let’s start by saying the Pez Espada is still an excellent hotel but ! This was our 3rd visit to the hotel and 1st visit since the refurbishments . We had a club superior side sea view room which had been refurbished to a good standard, extremely comfortable beds . Nice to have a fridge , safe , kettle & toiletries etc . Great walk in shower. Lovely view over to the marina from the 4th floor. Always kept clean each day , although we tried to keep the towels, they changed them nearly every day. Not sure about the new privilege partition in the restaurant , it’s still the same food etc . Ok , you pay extra for a better room but we feel it’s creating a social divide . The food good but sometimes could have been a bit warmer although there is a microwave oven to use . Breakfast is leaning more toward continental style. Some dishes a bit random, boiled carrots at breakfast ! Evening meals good but some nights the show cooking dishes had run out by 8 o’clock , but restaurant still open until 10 . We know this is probably down to the covid effect but the restaurant does now have more of a canteen feel about it than it use to have . Also the dress standards have dropped in the restaurant , some people looked as though they had just come off the beach in the evenings, shorts vests etc . Restaurant staff are excellent, very friendly and professional. We did have a great stay & we will return. However, we have been visiting this location for 20 odd years & stayed in many different hotels but always felt that the Pez Espada had a special edge over the rest. We now feel it’s lost it’s edge slightly, it’s still a great hotel but no better than some of the others.

Home from Home

A wonderful trip again. We always s enjoy. The gala dinner on Christmas was not as good as last year, however it did not detract from our holiday enjoyment. The new year I cannot comment. The hotel is made by the staff who work here. The reception ably led by Manolo, perfect. The Dining Room led by Angle and team, perfect. Hotel Bar team excellent. Monica missing but the other team led by Paco and Lupa, very professional. Christina the hotel Manager, visible and approachable, this is so important. We have already booked our next 5 holidays there. Our Spanish family, hold a special place in our lives. Well done Pez Espada. A wonderful team of people. Thank you all. This Welsh family send our warmest wishes to you all.

Winter Break

Another nice stay at the Pez. Privilige area is still a mystery. Food is presented at odd times. Crockery sometimes not restocked so cannot make coffee. No bottled water. Restaurant food should be changed more frequently to keep it hot. Otherwise all other respects were very good.

Estancia Hotel Pez Espada, Malaga

La estancia fenomenal tanto el personal como las instalaciones. Por poner una pega, la animación estaba más bien dirigida a los extranjeros. Por todo lo demás genial, reserve una habitación estándar y me dieron una con vistas al mar. Seguro que repetiré.

Excellent hotel

Stayed in a jacuzzi suite over Christmas,it was amazing,drinks and canopies in the lobby on Christmas Day was a lovely touch,will be back soon.

Todo fantástico salvo el bufet de la cena con menos variedad y oferta de la esperable.Seguro que la próxima vez lo habrán subsanado

Un vrai 4 étoiles

Les juniors suites vue mer offrent détente, confort et espace privilégié. Jacuzzi sur la terrasse de la chambre face à la mer: le rêve! Salle réservée avec snack et boisson à volonté a partir de 11h: le luxe! Un hôtel très accueillant, bien situé, calme, raffiné où nous retournerons avec plaisir.

Excepcional

Agradable , cómodo, silencioso, decoración con capacidad de trasportarte a otras décadas si tu imaginación te lo permite. Sólo un pero.....no representan las fechas navideñas al estilo mediterráneo sino a la cultura nórdica no hay cena de nochebuena que celebrar no se ven los típicos turrones, mazapanes, etc de nuestra cultura española. El buffet con alimentos de muy buena calidad.

Espada

We have been to the hotel many times. This year is our third visit. This time in a atmosphere Navidad. As always, very elegant. A nice touch was the birthday cake and champagne from the boss for my birthday. We will come back for Easter for sure. We wish you all a Good New Year 2023

December Stay

Had a wonderful weeks holiday just before Xmas. Hotel is spotless, staff very friendly and helpful. Check in and out very professional and quick.
