Philosophy
MedPlaya is a hotel chain that specialises in coastal holidays. We began at the same time as the first tourists started coming to Spain. Since then we have specialised in giving great holidays to visitors to our country. We know that they are the details that make all the difference and we pay great attention to getting these right. The company was founded in 1967 and its main activity is to manage hotels. We currently operate 19 hotels making up the Med Playa Hotels chain.
Med Playa Management, S.L. specialises in beach hotels. The chain's hotels are situated on the Costa Brava and the Maresme coast, in Salou and Benidorm, on the Costa del Sol and next to the Black Sea. We manage a total of 3,929 rooms providing beds for up to 8,080 guests at any one time.
Whilst not originally operating under the name of Med Playa, the company began to construct several hotels in Benidorm in 1967 and 1968. Since then the group has expanded its operations opening other hotels in Spain's main tourist resorts: Torremolinos and Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol; Benidorm on the Costa Blanca; Salou on the Costa Daurada; Calella on the Maresme coast; and Tossa and Platja d'Aro (Playa de Aro) on the Costa Brava.

ONLINE RESERVATIONS: By filling in the online Reservation form, the user accepts and authorizes MED PLAYA MANAGEMENT, SL to automatically use and process the personal data provided for the purposes of administering the requested reservation and to provide the contracted accommodation service. If the user has expressly consented to receive commercial communications by checking the box on the form relating to the receipt of publicity regarding the services and offers made by the MED PLAYA group, their personal data will be further processed to provide them with information regarding our news and offers by email.
Similarly, the user is informed that when they make a reservation, their personal data and that relating to the reservation will be passed to the companies that make up the MED PLAYA group which are involved in the management of the reservation and the execution of the same for the purposes previously described.
AMIGO CARD: By completing the registration request for the AMIGO CARD programme, the user accepts and authorizes MED PLAYA MANAGEMENT, SL to use and process the personal data provided for the purposes of the customer loyalty programme of the MED PLAYA group, such as the improvement of the commercial relationship with the client and making personalized offers.
Similarly, for the proper fulfilment of the programme, your personal data will be transferred to companies of the MED PLAYA group for the purposes described above.
The Personal Data that you provide will be processed to identify you as a user of the programme and to give you access to the various features and services that are available to users registered in the programme.

CURRICULUM VITAE: By completing the CV submission form on our website, the user accepts and authorizes MED PLAYA MANAGEMENT, SL to use and process the personal data provided so that it may be integrated into a personnel selection database with the purpose of being entered into the personnel selection processes for the different hotels and companies belonging to the MED PLAYA group.
How have we obtained your personal data and what legitimacy do we have for the processing of your data?
The legal basis for the treatment of personal data is the express consent that the person concerned has previously provided, as well as compliance with legal obligations as set forth in Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27th April, 2016, and other legal regulations in force regarding data protection.
Therefore, the personal data that we process derives from the person concerned or their legal representative. In no cases are special categories of personal data processed, such as: data that reveals ethnic or racial origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical convictions, union membership data, genetic data, data relating to the health of a natural person.
Not providing the requested personal data, or not accepting this data protection policy, means that it will be impossible to subscribe, register, receive information about the services or the exclusion from the Amigo Card programme.
In those cases where there is a prior contractual relationship between the parties, the legitimacy for carrying out the administrative, tax, accounting and employer obligations that are necessary under current legislation will be the previous existence of such a business relationship.
How long will we keep your data?
Personal data will be kept for the period that you have a relationship with us and in all cases for the periods stipulated in the applicable legal provisions and for the time strictly necessary in order to meet possible obligations arising from the processing.
In all cases, we will cancel your data when it is no longer necessary or relevant for the purposes for which it was collected after a period of 10 years from the last service contract, provided you have not previously requested the cancellation of the data.

Curriculum vitae that are sent to the company will be deleted after a period of 2 years from receipt.
To which recipients will your data be communicated?
No data will be transferred to third parties, except for companies belonging to the MED PLAYA group, to providers that provide services on our behalf and in compliance with any legal obligation. The data passed to companies within the group itself will be transferred with the purpose of being able to share the necessary information for the proper provision of the service.

1. INTRODUCTION
At MedPlaya, our customers are our top priority. That's why we have developed the all-new MedPlaya Amigo! Loyalty Programme, designed to offer our direct customers the best prices, favourable conditions, and exclusive offers and benefits.
MedPlaya Amigo! consists of three levels: Holiday Friends, BFFs, and Soulmates. Your level within the programme increases as you accumulate more stays with us, and with each level, you unlock additional benefits.
The following terms and conditions outline how MedPlaya Amigo! works and can be referred to anytime on the MedPlaya Hoteles website: www.medplaya.com.
MedPlaya Amigo! utilizes a Customer Identification Number to identify members. By accepting these terms and conditions, the MedPlaya Amigo! member confirms their awareness and understanding of the programme’s details.
MedPlaya reserves the right to make necessary amendments to the conditions of MedPlaya Amigo! as it deems necessary.
The advantages of MedPlaya Amigo! are applicable to all MedPlaya hotels, with the exception of Resort Giverola & Bella Vista Beach Club.
2. REGISTERING FOR MEDPLAYA AMIGO!
The programme is available to adults over 18 years old.
Official bodies and companies are excluded from the MedPlaya Amigo! programme.
You can register for MedPlaya Amigo! through the following channels:
- The www.medplaya.com website: Fill out the online registration form with your personal information and accept the provided conditions.
- In MedPlaya Hotels: Use the QR code for registration.
Registration for MedPlaya Amigo! program is free. An email address is required to register for MedPlaya Amigo!, and each registration must have a unique email address.
3. MEDPLAYA AMIGO
Once you have completed registration for MedPlaya Amigo!, you can access your personal MedPlaya Amigo! area on www.medplaya.com. This can be done by identifying yourself with your email address or MedPlaya identification number (ID MedPlaya) and password.
Within the MedPlaya Amigo! dashboard, you can:
- View and download your digital MedPlaya Amigo! identification card, which displays your full name and MedPlaya Identification Number (ID MedPlaya).
- Check and update your personal details.
- View your booking history and easily make new reservations.
- Adjust your access settings for the MedPlaya Amigo! private area.
- Make your next reservation at the best price available!
Please note that your MedPlaya Amigo! membership is personal and non-transferable.
* In order that your discount is applied correctly on arrival it is important that you identify yourself using your ID MedPlaya Amigo! or email associated with your account when making your reservation.
4. BENEFITS OF MEDPLAYA AMIGO
As a member of the MedPlaya Amigo! you will be the first to hear of our promotions and offers* and will enjoy discounts and benefits on your direct reservations at all our MedPlaya Hotels, excluding Resort Giverola/Hotel Bella Vista.

Discounts and benefits are applied based on your MedPlaya Amigo! membership level, all your stays (direct reservations only) count towards your membership level, and discounts, benefits and rewards are applicable on your stays with us when you have made your reservation on our website www.medplaya.com, through our Call Centre, Guest Service Managers, or directly at the hotel Reception.

Your membership level is determined by the number of nights you have stayed with us (only direct reservations count) in any MedPlaya Hotel within the two years preceding your upcoming reservation check-in date. Please note that membership levels may fluctuate based on this criterion.
Discounts and benefits do not apply to reservations made through third-party agents, online travel agents, or tour operators.
Discounts will be applied to the price of the room occupied by the MedPlaya Amigo! member at check-in, and benefits will be available upon, or shortly after, arrival at the hotel.
Benefits and discounts are not duplicated when more than one MedPlaya Amigo! member occupies a room.
Discounts are applied to the final price of the reservation, excluding extras, and are not applicable to 100% Non refundable bookings.
5. CANCELLING YOUR MEDPLAYA AMIGO MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the MedPlaya Amigo! programme may be cancelled for the following reasons:
- The user may request to cancel their membership of the MedPlaya Amigo! programme by sending an email to: contact@medplaya.com
- MedPlaya Management reserves the right to the temporary or permanent cancellation of the MedPlaya Amigo! members membership under the following circumstances:
- Improper use of the MedPlaya Amigo! Programme.
- Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions accepted when registering for the programme.
- Inappropriate behaviour at the hotel.
- Cancellation of subscription to Newsletter
- Detection of incorrect data provided when registering for the MedPlaya Amigo! programme.
- The demise of the MedPlaya Amigo! member.
- When no transactions or bookings have been made using your MedPlaya Amigo! account during the past five years.
6. PRIVACY POLICY – DATA PROTECTION
